Teachers Training

This course is designed for Madrassah, Supplementary, Sunday or full-time Islamic School teachers and teacher assistants who work with children aged between 5-18 years old. It is designed to equip teachers with necessary pedagogic skills and deep understanding of Islam, Islamic Studies and values.

This training is also highly recommended for the management and administration staff of those institutes as often they are in charge of making decisions or taking actions that affect learning and teaching in the class. Whether you are a full-time, part-time or volunteer teacher this course is extremely useful to your professional and self-development.

Being an Islamic School Teacher is not an easy role. This course aims to provide necessary and practical knowledge that teachers can take away and implement in his/her class in order to improve professionalism, effectiveness, quality of teaching and students’ positive learning experiences. 

The training is mainly divided into two parts, 

1. Islamic Syllabus: 

This part will cover the Islamic Belief system (Belief/Aqaid/Usool), Islamic Jurisprudence (Ahkaam/Tozeh-al-Mayal/Furu), Islamic Ethics and Philosophy (Akhlaq), Quranic Language and Studies.

2. Teaching Skills:

This part will cover topics including teaching methodologies, motivation and behaviour management strategies, engaging students by catering for different learning styles, planning lessons effectively, assessing learning and differentiating as well as presenting available teaching resources, Children, Young adults, Identity & Family, Creating a positive classroom context, Setting expectations, Teaching Resources & Initiatives, Teaching positive behaviour and responding to inappropriate behaviourLearning behaviours and lesson structures, Building Positive Relationships, Class Agreement & Behaviour Plan and much more.
